Summary

Luo Cheng arrives at his mother's courtyard to find his father, Luo Yi, in a dark mood over an incident involving Zhang Xuan. Despite Luo Cheng's protests, Luo Yi insists that Zhang Xuan must leave Luo Fu, suggesting Luo Cheng take him to Xiangyang instead. Luo Cheng reluctantly agrees, knowing this is the best solution to maintain his friendship with Zhang Xuan. Outside, he encounters his cousin Lu Yun, who is upset by his dismissal. Meanwhile, the Lu family's grand birthday banquet for the old master begins, with Zhang Xuan seated alone in a corner, receiving cold treatment to avoid offending General Yu Wen Shu. As the banquet progresses, Lu Yun approaches Zhang Xuan, revealing her sister Lu Qing's concern for him and her efforts to plead his case to their grandfather. Zhang Xuan is touched by Lu Qing's care for him.
