Summary

In a mysterious encounter, Lin Jie, Chen San San, and Yin Xiao Tao are transported to the Strange ruins (Yi Xu), a desolate wasteland with no vegetation and a gloomy sky. Xia Jie, who has not fully absorbed seven souls and three spirits of a child, challenges them to find a lost soul. He promises to place a mature wooden essence fruit under a black stone in three days and asks Lin Jie to keep her word about sparing a couple. After speaking, Xia Jie's body releases a bluish-green mist that quickly disappears into the distant landscape.
