Chapter 928: Great King, Run! It's All Han Troops! [928]
Summary
Li Da Jiang proposed a three-day condition to stall the Han army, but his plan was being watched by Fu Rong. The next day, the Han army, led by Liu Mang, arrived at Xiangping County, and despite Li Da Jiang's attempts to ambush them, the Han army broke through the city gates. Li Da Jiang surrendered and opened the city gates, and the Han army took control of the city. Liu Mang appointed Pu Zhen Sheng as the new governor of Xiangping County and demoted Li Da Jiang to Liaodong County. The Han army then disguised themselves as Goguryeo guards by wearing their uniforms. Meanwhile, Zhu Meng, the king of Goguryeo, returned to Xiangping with his son Zhu Xiao after burying his two other sons. Zhu Xiao tried to warn his father about the Han army, but Zhu Meng did not listen. Upon entering the city, Zhu Meng and Zhu Xiao were met by Liu Mang, who revealed that he had taken control of the city. Li Da Jiang and Pu Zhen Sheng betrayed Zhu Meng, and the Han army surrounded them. Just as Liu Mang was about to order the execution of the Goguryeo royal family, Zhu Xiao begged for mercy and offered to surrender.Full content
