Summary

In the Zeng residence courtyard, Xiao Cui and Little Zhu discuss Young Master Li's changing tastes, particularly his previous love for osmanthus cake, now overshadowed by Xu Fu Ji’s candied fruits. Li Yi, preoccupied with political intrigues, unknowingly confuses Wan Ruo Qing's fingers for cake. Amidst this, he contemplates the return of the King of Shu, predicting dire consequences for those attending the Cui Family feast. As guests arrive at the Cui residence, excitement about the King's return is palpable, but news of Third Young Lady's illness prompts Chen Chong to rush back home, leaving Cui Qing Ming in confusion.
