Chapter 926: Breaking Liao Dong on a Snowy Night [926]

Summary

Liu Mang and his soldiers are preparing to attack the city of Liaodong, but they are met with a sudden snowstorm. Despite the harsh weather, Liu Mang is confident in his army's supplies and warm clothing, which were transported from Yuyang County. Zhang Fei and Guan Yu are eager to join the battle, but Liu Mang decides to wait and observe the situation. Meanwhile, Pu Zhen Sheng, the commander of the Goguryeo army, is struggling to maintain food supplies in the city. He is anxious about the dwindling supplies and the Han army's presence at the gates. When the Han army appears to retreat, Pu Zhen Sheng is overjoyed, but he is cautious about sending his soldiers to gather the abandoned supplies. As the Goguryeo soldiers gather the supplies, they are ambushed by the Han army, led by Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Pu Zhen Sheng is caught off guard and is forced to flee. Liu Mang then appears and confronts Pu Zhen Sheng, who is willing to surrender and provide information about the city of Xiangping in exchange for his life. Pu Zhen Sheng reveals that he has a way to trick open the gates of Xiangping, as the commander of the east gate is his brother-in-law. Liu Mang accepts the information and spares Pu Zhen Sheng's life. The Han army then conquers Liaodong, and Pu Zhen Sheng's soldiers are forced to kneel and drop their weapons.
