Chapter 922: Zi Long, a Man Full of Courage [922]

Summary

Zhuge Jin and Zhao Yun initially planned to leave after a tense encounter with Zhu Huan, who provocatively suggested allying with the Xiongnu against the Han Dynasty. Zhao Yun, angered by Zhu Huan's disrespect, swiftly killed him, showcasing the Han's might. He then took King Zhu Meng hostage, forcing him to allow their safe exit from the city despite internal conflicts within Goguryeo. Zhu Meng, realizing the threat posed by Zhao Yun, ultimately chose to prioritize his own survival over his sons' ambitions. As they left, Zhao Yun further demonstrated his ferocity by killing Zhu Yao, another prince, causing panic among the Goguryeo soldiers. After a daring escape, Zhao Yun and Zhuge Jin reported their success back at Yuyang Pass, earning high praise from Liu Bei, who rewarded them, although Zhao Yun humbly declined the gifts in favor of the soldiers.
