Summary

Shi Mu visits the Scripture Pavilion to find Ju Shi, who is cultivating in a side room. While waiting, he converses with Cai Er, a parrot who is familiar with Ju Shi and has a disdain for a golden lizard. Shi Mu expresses his desire to obtain a vial of golden lizard venom. Cai Er hints that Ju Shi may grant this request if Shi Mu offers something in return. When Ju Shi arrives, he reveals that he overheard their conversation and agrees to give Shi Mu the venom, but asks for his help with a Soul Scholar experiment involving communication with an alternate dimension, specifically the Undead Realm. Ju Shi assures Shi Mu that following his instructions will minimize danger, but Shi Mu requests time to consider the offer. Ju Shi agrees but insists on a response within five days. Shi Mu then takes his leave.
