Summary

Wu Ji, from the Heavenly Ordinary Sect, is approached by Pang Jie of the Forgotten River Sect, who invites him to assist in a grand ceremony coinciding with the hatching of the Divine Transformation Nest. Despite encouragement from Lan Ou, Wu Ji declines the offer, expressing his desire to seek opportunities in the newly hatched nest instead. Pang Jie feels guilty for not securing spots for his sect's disciples, while Wu Ji secretly possesses ten jade tokens for entry. After two months of seclusion, Wu Ji learns from Wei Jie about the heavy losses their sect faced in the arena, including the deaths of eleven disciples. Wu Ji gathers the remaining disciples to motivate them, revealing that Pu Yin and Shi Bian made it into the top one thousand, securing spots in the Divine Transformation Nest, while Zhai Bu Tong was killed by Senior Disciple Wu Liang. Wu Ji vows to confront Wu Liang in the nest.
