Summary

The giant bamboo rat, feeling enlightened, reassures the Vajra that their master will emerge soon. They discuss Ouyang Ming, the young one, with the Vajra expressing pride in his potential. As supernatural waves emanate from the tower, Ouyang Ming and Da Huang arrive. After a brief exchange, Ouyang Ming seeks a private conversation with the giant bamboo rat, who offers tea or wine. They share drinks, and Ouyang Ming inquires about the Death Forest, learning it may relate to the Great Ruins. The conversation shifts to the giant bamboo rat's future plans, which include spending time with his daughter, little Zi. Ouyang Ming departs, reflecting on the couplets in the cabin. The next day, he ventures into the forest, hunting ferocious beasts with Da Huang and the multi-armed Vajra. After two months, they encounter a peak ferocious beast, a massive unicorn rhinoceros. Ouyang Ming, filled with battle intent, attacks the beast with his Blood Spear, successfully injuring it.
