Summary
Zhang Ye was at the Beijing TV Station for an interview. Hu Fei, the one who brought him there, warned him that the leaders were hesitant to hire him due to the 'Dead Water' incident. Zhang Ye was mentally prepared for the worst but still wanted to try his best. The interview began, and he introduced himself. The interviewers, led by Wang Shui Xin, seemed unimpressed. Wang Shui Xin, a poet and the director of the Arts Channel, believed that Zhang Ye's literary level was not special and that he was not the right person for the job. Hu Fei defended Zhang Ye, but Wang Shui Xin remained unconvinced. The interview was going to be a long and tedious one, with the judges already having made up their minds not to hire Zhang Ye.
