Summary

Li Yan Qing hides in a tree near a stolen ship, observing the Bai brothers, notorious bandits preparing to sell stolen furs. After overhearing their plans, he realizes they are involved in a conspiracy to kill the Clan Chief. As the brothers drink heavily, Li Yan Qing waits for the right moment to strike. Once they are incapacitated, he attacks, killing all three brothers in quick succession. Afterward, he searches the ship for valuables and discovers a plaque belonging to a tooth merchant named Yang Qu, who might provide information about a man named Zhang Guan Shi. Li Yan Qing burns the ship and prays for the Clan Chief's soul before heading to Daming City to confront Yang Qu. After a tense interrogation, Yang Qu reveals that Zhang Guan Shi recently sought him to sell stolen furs. Li Yan Qing deduces that Zhang Guan Shi may be connected to the Clan Chief's death and learns Zhang's original name was Liu Cheng Hong.
