Chapter 900: Lv Meng's Demise, Guan Gong's Revenge. [901]
Summary
The Wu army, led by Lv Meng, was defeated by the Han army, led by Zhang Liao, Guan Yu, and Zhao Yun, at the Yangtze River. Lv Meng was killed by Guan Yu after a fierce battle. The Han army's victory marked the fall of the natural barrier of the Yangtze River, and Liu Mang set foot on the land of Jiangdong as its master. Liu Mang decided to send envoys to persuade Sun Quan to surrender, and Zhuge Jin volunteered to go, despite Zhuge Liang's concerns. Zhuge Jin was accompanied by Fu Rou, a fierce general under Liu Mang, to protect his safety. Meanwhile, Sun Quan was feeling desperate as the Yangtze River had been crossed, and Wu Commandery and Kuaiji had been occupied by the Han army. He received news of Lv Meng's death and the defeat of the Wu army. The chapter ended with Liu Mang's army preparing to attack Jianye, and Zhuge Jin's mission to persuade Sun Quan to surrender.Full content
