Summary

Zheng Jiu finds himself in a vast underground cave, shocked by the sight of a massive sacrificial stone platform and an enormous coffin, surrounded by nine giant snakes known as Kujo. He realizes he’s stumbled upon their lair and contemplates the danger of waking them. Observing fresh monkey corpses, he deduces that the monkeys with human masks are involved in some dark ritual. A single-eyed Kujo emerges, displeased by the interruption. Fearing for his life, Zheng Jiu decides to retreat and gather allies. As he climbs back up the bronze tree, he notices a flashlight falling, indicating that others may have disturbed the Kujo. He races against time to avoid attracting their attention while contemplating the implications of his friends' presence and the potential dangers ahead.
