Chapter 9: What if Exterminated Free Competition? (Situation of Social Change 5 - Is Monopoly Capital the Savior?). [10]

Summary

In the late stage of capitalism, monopoly replaces free competition, leading to a concentration of capital where larger entities push smaller competitors out of the market. This results in "monopoly prices" that benefit capitalists at the expense of consumers. Despite the potential for economic control, capitalism remains antagonistic, failing to resolve the inherent conflicts between capitalists and workers. The era of monopoly capital leads to increased economic battles and global conflicts, with wars exacerbating crises. For true peace and stability, existing production relations must be abolished, allowing for the development of new, equitable economic structures.
