Summary

Liu Yun and Master Xun Yu of the Bi Mountain Academy examine the 'Canglong Pohe Tu', a mysterious scroll depicting a blood-red dragon. The scroll is incredibly resilient and radiates immense power. Despite their efforts, they are unable to unlock its secrets. Xun Yu becomes frustrated and spits out blood, deciding to send the scroll to the Bai Lu Academy or the emperor, who is known to be fascinated by mysterious objects. Meanwhile, a young maiden named Ling Yin Hua plays the guqin in the grand hall, captivating the attention of the men present. Xun Yu praises her skills, comparing her to the 'Green Aunt' from Qingliu Cottage, whom Liu Yun seems to be obsessed with. Xun Yu reveals that he has visited the Green Aunt multiple times but was only allowed to listen to one piece of music and drink one cup of tea. As Xun Yu and Liu Yun exit the study, they are greeted by dozens of young men who bow to Xun Yu. Ling Yin Hua also greets Xun Yu, but her attention is fixed on Liu Yun. The Ling family, to which Yin Hua belongs, is a prominent aristocratic family in Bi Prefecture, and Yin Hua's standards are high.
