Summary

Pei Xingyan, anxious about the Turkish army's plans, leads his cavalry back to Yunnei County to prevent the slaughter of livestock. Upon arrival, he learns that the Turkish forces, under Wu Li, have begun killing sheep but are forced to retreat when the Sui army approaches. The Sui cavalry, led by General Shi Hengbo, quickly captures the city after the Turkish garrison surrenders. Meanwhile, Liu Wuzhou's forces are dwindling after years of conflict with the Tang army, which has recently gained the upper hand under Li Jiancheng's command. Liu Wuzhou seeks Turkish assistance, but his situation grows desperate as he awaits reinforcements that may not arrive.
