Chapter 892: Ambush in the Deep Mountains, Kuaiji Loses Its City. [893]

Summary

In Kuaiji, Quan Cong realizes that the Yamakoshi are allied with the Shu bandits, complicating his escape from the Wudang Flying Army. As the Wu army faces overwhelming odds, many soldiers surrender to the Han forces led by Wang Ping. Deng Ai and Cheng Wu approach Kuaiji, persuading the defenders to surrender without a fight. Quan Cong, arriving at the city gate, is met with disdain from the defenders and is ultimately forced to flee. Deng Ai plans to use Quan Cong's escape to spread chaos in Eastern Wu, while the newly formed alliance of Yamakoshi and defected Wu troops begins to integrate into the Han. Cheng Wu feels relieved to return to serving the Han, and Deng Ai maintains a strategic focus on future military actions.
