Summary

Wang Shi Chong and his son Wang Ying Xuan are in turmoil over how to address the assassination of a Tang envoy, with pressure mounting to find the murderer. Wang Shi Chong orders a city-wide search and offers a reward for information. Meanwhile, a 30,000-strong Sui army, led by military strategist Fang Xuan Ling, is on a mission to eliminate Liu Wuzhou, who is weakened after defeats against the Tang army. The Sui army splits into two routes for their advance, implementing a new mixed infantry and cavalry strategy as they prepare for battle. Pei Xingyan leads one group towards Wuzhou Mountain, where significant resources for Liu Wuzhou's forces are located. The Sui army aims to reclaim territory and strengthen their position against the Turkic tribes supporting Liu Wuzhou.
