Summary

In a tavern, Lv Ping seeks information about the Tang envoy Dugu Huai'en from Wang Guan Cheng, who describes him as a notorious playboy. Lv Ping plans to eliminate Dugu Huai'en and hires Wang Guan Cheng to lure him to a restaurant. Meanwhile, Wang Shi Chong plots to delay negotiations with Dugu Huai'en, believing his position is undeserved. Lv Ping later meets with Liu Shun at a martial arts school, offering gold for the assassination of his rival, Jiang Wen. As night falls, Dugu Huai'en, disguised and nostalgic, visits the Tian Si Ge restaurant, unaware of the ambush waiting for him. Liu Shun and his men attack, but Dugu Huai'en is ultimately poisoned and incapacitated by two assailants who escape, leaving chaos behind.
