Summary
Liu Mang and Guan Yu meet Zhang Liao to discuss loyalty and the state of their kingdoms. Zhang Liao expresses concern about Cao Rui's intentions, but Liu Mang reassures him that the Han ministers won't trouble a fallen monarch. Guan Yu urges Zhang Liao to join them, recalling their past battles together. After some initial reluctance, Zhang Liao agrees to surrender to the Han upon receiving a letter from Cao Rui encouraging him to do so. Liu Mang and Guan Yu support Zhang Liao's decision, and they discuss punishing Zhang Hu and Lü Qīng for their past misdeeds. After venting his anger, Zhang Liao feels revitalized and pledges his allegiance to the Crown Prince.
