Summary

An Zheng races through a desert towards Garuda City, mindful of the dangers posed by Zheng Chengzong and the Buddhist sect. After a day of travel, he discovers a village in chaos, where a man named Bo Yang accuses villagers of consorting with the Nakahara people, branding them as demons. He incites the villagers to burn a woman, claiming she is possessed, while two children cry for their mother. A young girl defends the accused, but Bo Yang orders her capture. As An Zheng arrives, he senses the bloodshed, hinting at the impending confrontation with Bo Yang and the dark forces at play in the village.
