Summary

The Han army successfully invaded Luo Yang, breaching three city gates. Despite Sima Yi's orders for brutal street fighting, he retreated to the inner city, leading to many Wei soldiers surrendering. Isolated and desperate, Sima Yi confronted Cao Rui in the palace, expressing his shame and fear of Liu Mang's vengeance. Cao Rui, however, suggested surrendering to spare lives, which enraged Sima Yi, who felt betrayed and threatened Cao Rui with a dagger. As tensions escalated, Sima Yi's desperation led to his demise when Zhao Yun shot him, while Liu Mang ordered the execution of Sima Yi's faction.
