Summary

Zhong He, having regained his sight, is shocked to find he has killed Liu Tu, a friend he had hoped to spare. In a desperate moment, he used a phantom dagger, unaware Liu Tu had undergone surgery to protect his heart. The irony of Liu Tu's earlier bravado about life and death weighs heavily on Zhong He. As he grapples with guilt, Yi Huaba, another ally, hesitates to shoot Zhong He but is shot by Huang Di Hou instead. Yi Huaba, mortally wounded, shares his last thoughts with Zhong He, who is left in despair as he watches his friend die.
