Chapter 88: The Fairy's Bath. [98]

Summary

The story revolves around Wu Daoming, the Abbess, and Shen Cai Hua traveling to the Peach Blossom Land, a historic Taoist sanctuary. While bathing in an ancient pool, the Abbess is unexpectedly observed by a group of dwarfs called Jade Corpses. These survivors are the last remnants of a valley community massacred by the Wild Monk Fei. They were later imprisoned in a mountain cave, where they slowly died. The encounter reveals their tragic history of survival, loss, and the preservation of their memories through generations, highlighting themes of cultural preservation, revenge, and the resilience of marginalized communities.
