Chapter 864: Gray Night - White Banner (Part 3). [951]
Summary
In September, Jiangning City was besieged, resembling an impenetrable prison after enduring nearly 8 months of attacks. The city walls showed signs of collapse, with numerous breaches and corpses scattered around. Tensions rose among the surrendering Han troops, leading to mutinies and executions of commanders. Amidst the chaos, Tie Tian Ying, who had narrowly escaped death, observed the dire situation, reflecting on the lost opportunities for the Wu Dynasty. The news of Zhou Yong passing the throne to Jun Wu did little to inspire hope among the surrendering soldiers, as the defenders within Jiangning remained trapped in despair.Full content
