Summary

Li Yan Qing successfully captures Wei Cheng while a fierce battle rages at Da San Guan, a strategic location crucial for both the Xi Xia and Song armies. The Xi Xia forces aim to capture Da San Guan to press into Guanzhong and force Li Yan Qing to withdraw his troops. The defense of Da San Guan is led by General Liu Tie, who bolsters the garrison with advanced siege weapons. The Xi Xia army, numbering 30,000, launches a large-scale assault but faces heavy casualties from Liu Tie's defenses, including crossbow fire and Thunderclaps. Despite Richard's orders to continue the attack, the Xi Xia soldiers suffer devastating losses and are ultimately forced to retreat as their siege ladders are destroyed and morale collapses. Richard leads his remaining forces back towards Huizhou, acknowledging the failure to capture Da San Guan.
