Summary

In a dimly lit corridor of San You Inn, a man encounters a middle-aged woman known as the Chicken Foot Lady, who is burning something in a washbasin. Startled, he kicks her, and she cryptically warns him of future legal troubles and impending death for him and those around him. The next day, he learns from a bald man that she is a mystical figure who helps troubled families. A story unfolds about a child possessed by a spirit, which the Chicken Foot Lady supposedly saves with a unique ritual. The man, troubled by her warning, decides to seek her help at the live poultry market, accompanied by friends, to understand and possibly break the curse she foretold.
