Summary

Zhang Ye, a famous person, is a teacher in Class 1 of an elementary school. He is writing an essay "Ode to the White Poplar" in front of the parents who have come to attend the open class. The parents are surprised by the quality of the essay and are impressed by Zhang Ye's talent. One parent asks another if the essay was written by an elementary school student, and they discuss how today's students are so talented. After the class, Zhang Ye's niece, Chen Chen, is surrounded by her classmates who admire her uncle. Zhang Ye takes Chen Chen home and is stopped by the language teacher, who asks for his autograph. Zhang Ye signs an autograph for the teacher and her husband, who is a huge fan of his work. Zhang Ye and Chen Chen go home, where they meet Rao Ai Min, who has prepared many dishes for lunch. Zhang Ye helps in the kitchen and teases Chen Chen about his fame. Chen Chen remains unimpressed, but Zhang Ye is proud of his accomplishments.
