Summary

In a dilapidated temple, the protagonist struggles to stay awake while keeping watch with Chen Lei, who is sleeping beside him. Feeling drowsy, he examines an ancient stone statue of a seductive monkey when he hears mysterious footsteps outside. Alerting Chen Lei, they prepare for an encounter, leading to the appearance of a three-eyed monkey resembling the statue. The protagonist recalls a story about such a creature, which can be defeated by humans. After a brief struggle, he injures the monkey, but it escapes. When another monkey attacks Chen Lei, he unexpectedly kicks it away, revealing his hidden martial arts skills, much to the protagonist's surprise.
