Chapter 84: "Breaking the Siege in Summer: A Horseman Startles the Wind, Blood Battle Against the Ghost Tribe". [86]

Summary

Under Grand Chancellor Xia Qi's command, the Xiahou clan's martial arts experts led an army of 30,000 to assist the besieged Ji Zhou defenders against the Ghost tribes. They arrived just as the Ji Zhou troops were struggling to hold their earthen fort against overwhelming enemy forces. The Xiahou cavalry launched a surprise charge, breaking through the Ghost tribes' ranks and enabling the Ji Zhou defenders to regroup. The Ji Zhou commander expressed gratitude for their timely rescue, and together they established a defensive position against the retreating Ghost tribes. The next day, the Ji clan's Hu Wei Guan led a counterattack with 30,000 troops, but the Xiahou experts devised a strategy to encircle and eliminate them. As the battle intensified, the Xiahou cavalry engaged the Ji clan's forces, aiming to capture their commander and turn the tide of the conflict.
