Summary

Xu Liao observes his classmates at a lively farewell dinner but feels out of place. The coach, overwhelmed, tries to borrow money for the meal, but Xu Liao surprises him by revealing he has enough money. After the dinner, Xu Liao wanders to a coffee shop where he finds Qu Lei studying. They share drinks, and Xu Liao feels more engaged with his studies thanks to her guidance. After two hours, Qu Lei leaves without a formal goodbye, having paid the bill. On their way home, Qu Lei invites Xu Liao to a cosplay event, and he eagerly agrees. Their conversation reveals Qu Lei's awareness of Xu Liao's physique, which surprises him. After parting ways, Xu Liao encounters Long Qi Er, who informs him of his recruitment as an intern detective in the Kyoto Monster Affairs Bureau, a surprise that leaves him curious about the assignment.
