Summary

Xiao Zhai and Gu Yu, newly arrived in Jiangzhou, engage in light conversation about a book Gu Yu randomly purchased. Their exchange is interrupted by Xiao Jin, who eavesdrops and comically falls into the room. The narrative shifts to their discussions about the potential resurgence of spiritual energy in the world, leading to a whimsical debate about flying swords. Later, they visit Qionglong Mountain, where Tan Chong Dai, the old Daoist, experiences an emotional revelation after Gu Yu shows him an illusion of the divine realm he yearns for. Overwhelmed by sorrow for missed opportunities in his life, Tan Chong Dai offers his sect's secret inheritance to Gu Yu and Xiao Zhai, requesting they teach a worthy disciple in his stead.
