Summary

At the fifth watch of the night, Zhang Xuan is awakened by his wife, Pei Zhi Zhi, who informs him of Mr. Fang's urgent arrival. After quickly preparing, Zhang Xuan learns from Fang Xuan Ling and Ling Jing that Liu Hei Tu's location has been confirmed at Lang Mountain. They discuss the reliability of the information and strategize military orders to send troops to Lang Mountain. Meanwhile, Liu Hei Tu, hiding in Hejian County, is preparing for a future campaign while waiting for armor supplies. When the merchant convoy arrives with the Mingguang armor, Liu Hei Tu is excited but unaware of an ambush by the Sui army. As he inspects the armor, Liu Lan Cheng seizes the moment to attack, killing Liu Hei Tu and triggering chaos as Sui soldiers charge up the mountain. Liu Lan Cheng, injured but triumphant, presents Liu Hei Tu's head to General Duan Xian Da before fainting from his injuries.
