Chapter 82: Untrustworthy. [85]
Summary
Lu Ming Yue, an illegitimate son of the Lu family, was taken in by Lu Zhuo but became a reckless troublemaker. After joining rebel forces and declaring himself a son of the Lu family, he was expelled and banned from ancestral rituals, leading to deep hatred for Lu Zhuo. He gathered a band of rebels, becoming a notorious bandit. After a failed assassination attempt on a governor, he sought revenge on Lu Zhuo by capturing Lu Qing. During a confrontation with Zhang Xuan, Lu Ming Yue proposed a bet: if Zhang Xuan won, he would get Lu Qing back; if he lost, Lu Ming Yue would take Zhang Xuan's prized warhorse. The duel ensued, but Lu Ming Yue, still injured, was ultimately overpowered. As Zhang Xuan prepared to claim victory, Lu Ming Yue threatened Lu Qing, leading Zhang Xuan to withdraw to protect her. Lu Ming Yue then took Zhang Xuan's horse, leaving Lu Qing in despair as she contemplated her fate.Full content
