Summary

Ling Jing refrains from seeking help from the county office due to the magistrate's corruption. Liu Lan Cheng suspects bribery within the office and decides to investigate the Mingguang armor's whereabouts. He observes a young man, Wang Shun, who frequently enters the warehouse and eventually corners him for information. Wang reveals that there are fifty packages of armor stored in a heavily guarded warehouse but doesn't know when they will be moved. Liu Lan Cheng spares Wang's life in exchange for cooperation, believing he won't betray them due to his family's safety. Later, Liu Lan Cheng reports to Ling Jing, who plans to send a message to Fang Xuan Ling about the armor's situation. Meanwhile, Fang Xuan Ling learns from Ling Jing that the armor is in Chen Liu County but is hesitant to move due to strict inspections. They strategize to ease inspections temporarily during the Empress Dowager's birthday to create an opportunity for the armor's transport. Zhang Xuan visits the military camp, where a martial arts competition is taking place, and witnesses Yuwen Chengdu's impressive skills against two generals.
