Summary

In a secluded forest, three characters, Bai Ze, Wuxie, and Pang Zi, navigate the wilderness while evading a pack of wolves. Pang Zi boasts about his bravery, but a chilling wolf howl unnerves him. To stay safe, Bai Ze suggests sleeping in a tree, which they do, despite the discomfort. As they rest, Bai Ze remains vigilant and senses a large creature nearby, which turns out to be a harmless owl. The next morning, they discuss their longing for comfort food while remaining cautious of the wolves still tracking them. They decide to move quickly through the woods, aware of the wolves' nocturnal hunting habits, and question their direction after a long day of travel.
