Summary

Zhang Xuan inquires about high-ranking officials, learning that Liang Yi Li, the county magistrate of Changping, is loyal to Chang'an. Zhang Xuan orders his dismissal and potential execution for treason. Fang Xuan Ling informs him about Dou Jiande, who is being urged to rise again by Liu Heita. Zhang Xuan commands that Liu Heita must not be allowed to escape if he appears. He also orders an investigation into Liu Heita's whereabouts in Hebei, recognizing the threat he poses. Meanwhile, Dou Jiande, fearing for his life, travels to Zhongdu with his family, but they are pursued by Liu Heita's men. Dou Jiande prepares for battle as the pursuers close in.
