Summary

D-class personnel, or "CLASS_D," are individuals within the SCP Foundation designated to manage anomalous objects. They are primarily recruited from death row inmates, with strict regulations including monthly executions and daily psychological tests. The narrative follows "Rudy Austen," a D-class member, amidst chaos caused by SCP-173, a lethal entity that attacks when not observed. As panic ensues, Rudy manages to free himself from handcuffs using a key found on a corpse and attempts to escape while drawing attention to himself with gunfire. He learns his mission is to retrieve an anomalous item, as the facility goes into lockdown due to containment breaches.
