Chapter 81: The Sister-in-law is Tempted by Money. [81]
Summary
Zhang Chao and Jiang Xiao Shan were stunned when Ye Quan won the race against Chasing The Wind, a renowned horse from Wanma Hall. The crowd was in disbelief, especially since Ye Quan rode an old horse with two people on it. Ma Feng, the young master of Wanma Hall, accused Ye Quan of cheating, but Ye Quan calmly defended himself, pointing out that the venue and horse belonged to Ma Feng. The crowd sided with Ye Quan, criticizing Ma Feng for his refusal to accept defeat. The bet involved half of Wanma Hall’s shares, and Ma Feng was forced to honor it in front of the elite audience. Ye Quan remained composed, showing no excitement over his victory. The old horse, after the race, collapsed and died peacefully, leaving Ye Quan and Mu Xue emotional. Ye Quan handed the contract to Mu Xue, declaring she managed their finances. Jiang Xiao Shan, who had earlier mocked Ye Quan, now sought his forgiveness, realizing his newfound wealth and status.Full content
