Chapter 81: The Mushroom Prisoner of Monster Mountain. [80]

Summary

General Cheng and Teng Yuan Mei Hong encountered a Tengu named Aya Shameimaru, who was eavesdropping on their conversation. Aya Shameimaru claimed she was just curious and wanted to share gossip with her companions. General Cheng decided to punish her by making her live in a brick house made of blood-red soil blocks and eat a large pile of dried mushrooms. The punishment would end when she finished the mushrooms or used her Tengu fire to burn through a chain. Aya Shameimaru was frustrated with the punishment and complained about the lack of water and the difficulty of eating the dried mushrooms. However, it was later revealed that the Tengu's name was actually Shè Mìng Wán Wén, and she was a news reporter. She was trapped in the brick house for nearly a month, eating mushrooms every day. Despite the initial tolerance, she eventually became fed up with the smell and taste of mushrooms. Teng Yuan Mei Hong visited her and offered a deer leg to eat with her mushrooms, but Shè Mìng Wán Wén refused, fearing that eating something else would make it harder for her to finish the mushrooms.
