Chapter 81: The Duel Agreement of Heroes and Elves. [80]
Summary
Shi Dai takes his turn in a duel, utilizing the spell card 'Fusion Recovery' to bring back 'Elemental Hero: Bubbleman' and the spell 'Fusion'. He summons Bubbleman, drawing two cards due to his effect, and equips him with 'Bubble Blaster' to increase his attack power. Shi Dai then fuses 'Elemental Hero: Sparkman' and 'Elemental Hero: Blade Edge' to summon 'Elemental Hero: Electromagnetic Claw', which has the ability to destroy an opponent's monster by discarding a card. Despite Xie Er's attempts to negate the destruction of his monster 'Demiurge: Di Mi Si' with a trap card, Shi Dai successfully destroys it, leading to a significant shift in the duel. Shi Dai continues his offensive, using 'Double Attack' to allow Bubbleman to attack twice. Xie Er counters with a trap card that absorbs the damage and increases his life points. Shi Dai's attacks reveal a 'Transforming Jug', which forces both players to discard their hands and draw new cards. As the duel progresses, Shi Dai converses with Xie Er about the importance of bonds with spirits and companions in dueling, challenging Xie Er's belief that dueling is merely about winning. Xie Er, initially resistant, is confronted with the idea that his connection to the spirit of 'Nephthys the Phoenix' is still present. During Xie Er's turn, he attempts to revive the Phoenix, but Shi Dai counters by removing it from the game, severing Xie Er's connection to the spirit. The chapter ends with Xie Er asserting his identity as one of the Three Musketeers of New Doma, dismissing the significance of his past connection to the Phoenix.Full content
