Summary

Today's cocktail party, themed around the Year of China and hosted by Bergson, features notable figures of Chinese descent, including Yue Chen, who organized the event under a pseudonym. She believes the gathering will help ease tensions for the 3rd Daughter. Yue Chen studies the Ren Chen world, which is resource-poor and home to two intelligent races: one near extinction and the other barbaric.
