Chapter 81: Medical Theory. [91]
Summary
In the early morning, Yi Qing and Can'er wake up after a deep sleep, while Han Sheng reflects on the advice of Uncle Mountain Man to remain observant. After breakfast, they set off on horses, participating in the Miao village's Pig Killing Drum Ceremony. Han Sheng encounters a familiar ghost infant, Shen Cai Hua, and meets Liu Jin Mo, who expresses concern for him. They are joined by Ma Dou, the Miao shaman, who invites them for tea and discusses the significance of the Drum Society Festival. Ma Dou expresses interest in Han Sheng's medical knowledge, leading to an awkward exchange about ancient texts, particularly the 'Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon.' Han Sheng reveals he knows of the 'Outer Canon,' surprising Ma Dou, who explains its historical significance and recounts an incredible medical tale from ancient times.Full content
