Summary

Lu Ze enters the Grand Commandant's residence, finding his mother, Zhong Li, in a dire state, having been tortured. Despite her condition, she sings a lullaby to her children. Lu Ze reassures her, claiming to be her son-in-law and promising to rescue her. He collects treasures from the Prime Minister's storeroom and seeks a way to heal Zhong Li. Consulting Yao Tong, he learns of a Vitality Pill that can help her recover, but it requires water and time to work. After administering the pill, Lu Ze brings Zhong Li back to his room, where she begins to feel the effects of the medicine, while he arranges for her clothes.
