Summary

In a secretive path known only to Han soldiers, young Tian Jian, supported by his father's guards, prepares for a journey. As they travel, they encounter danger, prompting the guards to hide him in the grass. Listening to the chaos of battle, he vows to avenge his fallen uncles, Zhao and Yun, who died protecting him. After burying them, he pledges to train rigorously and study military tactics until he can seek revenge. Realizing the road back to Mayi is unsafe due to Xiongnu forces, he decides to navigate through the mountains, hoping to return to his father and homeland.
