Chapter 801: Half-Step True Saint and Golden Text Bone. [801]
Summary
Du Yu was in a precarious situation as Xun Sheng was likely to reach Half-Step Zhen Sheng after devouring Shao Zhengmao's Literary Essence, which would allow him to see through Du Yu's disguise. Shao Zhengmao offered to guide Du Yu in elevating his Literary Essence to Golden-Level, but Du Yu suspected it was a trap. He recalled Zhen Sheng's assessment of Shao Zhengmao as "cunning and dangerous." Du Yu was torn between seeking Shao Zhengmao's help, which could lead to him falling into a trap, or waiting for Xun Sheng to emerge and uncover the truth of his Literary Essence, which would mean certain death. Meanwhile, Du Yu led his troops to pacify Nakahara, aiming to attack Luoyang, one of the three capitals of the Tang dynasty, where A Shi Na, the new leader of the rebel forces, had led a large army. Du Yu's informant, Little Man, revealed that A Shi Na had colluded with the Mongolian Khan Tie Mu Zhen, who viewed An Lushan's territory as his own and would not easily trust someone like An Lushan. Du Yu's attack on the three towns of Hebei meant a direct confrontation with Tie Mu Zhen and the Mongol Empire.Full content
