Summary

Chu Tian experiences a vivid nightmare involving a one-armed man and wakes up in a sweat. He secretly meets the Black Snake by the White Python River, exchanging leopard fetus pills for herbs needed for his companions, A Dog and A Que. After the Black Snake departs, Chu Tian returns to his yard, where he finds laborers marveling at ten unusually large golden-scaled carps in the pond. As he scolds them for their chatter, he realizes the carps are creations of the mouse elder, lacking any spirit or awareness. The laborers begin to load the carps onto carts for transport to Banshan Academy, while A Dog displays a hint of primal energy.
