Chapter 8: The Peaceful Tune Spreads the Beacon Smoke (3). [166]

Summary

As the evening sky darkened, Dong Yu, a Tibetan leader, reflects on his recent past while atop Bone Exposure Mountain. He bears a scar from a betrayal by Wang Shao, which fuels his desire for revenge against the Song general Wang Shun Chen. Meeting the old monk Jiewu Chila and Kang Zun, Dong Yu reveals his plan to retaliate against the Tuo Shuo tribe with an army of 8,000 warriors, including elite troops borrowed from his brother Mu Zheng. Despite Kang Zun's warnings about potential opposition from the Qing Tang tribe, Dong Yu remains confident, believing that internal conflicts within the Aoi tribe will prevent their interference.
