Chapter 8: Silent Trust. [67]

Summary

Hao Qi and Zhang Heng meet Su Shiyan's family, who are more powerful than expected, with over twenty members, most at or near the quasi-inner strength level. Despite the family's cold demeanor, particularly from Su Shiyan's brothers, Hao Qi remains unfazed, focusing on repaying Su Shiyan's kindness. As they prepare to depart, Hao Qi reflects on the nature of respect and self-worth, laughing off the disdain from the Su family. Su Shiyan, a martial arts prodigy, faces scrutiny for including outsiders in a critical mission. The troop travels through a desert, setting up camp for the night. Hao Qi admires the scenery while Zhang Heng expresses frustration at Su Shiyan's silence, leading Hao Qi to conclude that her quietness stems from a mutual trust between them.
