The Cold Door Hero

Summary

Li Yan Qing sneaks into a brightly lit ancestral hall filled with sacrificial offerings for a ceremony at dawn. He quietly observes the layout and hides a spirit tablet before waiting for his opportunity. Li Da Guang, the caretaker, returns drunk and falls asleep after indulging in wine and food. Three mischievous boys sneak in through a window, excitedly eating white jade cakes. When Li Da Guang wakes up and confronts them, chaos ensues as the boys accidentally knock over the offering table. Amidst the confusion, Li Yan Qing ignites a fire using a candle, intending to create a distraction for his own plans of revenge. As the flames engulf the hall, Li Da Guang realizes the disaster unfolding and is left in shock.
